H.A. RIDERS AND SONS PHASE 1
“I would definitely use Vista Solar again. They are good communicators; they did NOT interfere with our operations, and kept all areas free and clear of debris while working. Work on electrical interface was done after normal hours so as not to interfere with operations”
– George Rider, Co-Owner H. A. Rider & Sons
CIDER MEETS COMMERCIAL SOLAR INSTALLATION
H.A. Rider and Sons commercial solar installation will offset over 87% of the H. A. Rider & Sons bottling plant’s current PG&E bill. Further drastically decreasing operating expenses for the life of the system. The system is expected to save H.A. Rider and Sons approximately $91,000 annually, and savings of $2.9 million over the 25-year production warranty period provided by the panel manufacturer.
The system, located on two separate buildings, is made of 1,177 Canadian Solar 280 Watt & 290 Watt modules, and uses multiple SatCon 75kW-100 kW inverters. Production estimates specific for the usually overcast Watsonville area shows that the system will generate approximately 490,786 kWh the first year. In addition, this amount of clean electricity is equal to taking 78 cars off the road and reducing CO2 usage by 365 tons. The system will continue to provide H.A. Rider and Sons the ability to bottle beverages with clean electricity for at least the next 25 years.
